Married Women With Other Men
Tide has just appeared, the Argentine artist Ricardo Dagger
, accompanied by his partner, is touring trails backwards, weaving together memories, reconstructing the ways of man-artist who is, while bearing witness to an era of visual arts in Argentina. Era marked by the formal research and experimentation, the exchange group, the plurality of trends. From their approach to art, sculpture, still creating and enjoying a minority, the link with work and fuels the design mark dagger on the act and the artistic product. His memories, through dialogue, come together in reflection that the experience and time have enriched and polished as the stone work. Dagger
speaks with admiration of his teachers, with the humility of his own work, and outspoken critics of the "characters" powered by "marketing" the commodification of art. Cultural policy, the organization of museums and galleries, teaching art (he taught for many years) are all of the topics courses. The dialogue advances in these fields at the same time raises more personal stories of life and environment of the artist.
"I wish this book could pass from one to another as a testimony of someone who works and is an artist in our country," says Richard Dagger. Intent shared by the tide, which, in this Bicentennial year, is now grooves, as part of the dissemination of emerging artists in town, and the debate on art and culture in Argentina.
